Review: Elf Brightening Quadshadow in Butternut.

Cost: P129.00
Where: Watson's

Sorry it took so long before I was able to make a review about this. I already hit the pan of the 1 eyeshadow here, it means that it was my favorite among the others.

Since there is no label or names for the eyeshadow I just put number on them.
As you can notice, all of the e/s are shimmery.

Let's start with the swatches:
(Note, I did not use any primer underneath the swatches of the e/s for you to see how pigmented / shimmery it is).
 Here's the lightest e/s.
(I) You can usually use this as:
-Base
or as highlighter on the ff areas:
- browbone
- tearduct
- bridge of nose
Here's how it looks like when swatch on my arm.

Next,

My favorite eyeshadow. I used this on my eyelid and sometimes on my tearduct too.

When swatch, it almost looks the same with number 1.

The third is the darkest one.

You can use this for your outer V, or to your upper lashline for a simple yet sophisticated look. Best worn for the smokey looks.

Swatch on arm.

And the last one:
This will also compliment when doing the smokey eyes.

On arm.

Here's the four e/s, taken without flash.

So that's it. Just sharing with you some of the looks that I've made with my elf e/s:

Sorry I don't have a clearer close up shot for this.

Good points:
Affordable
Easy to use
With small mirror
The darkest e/s is pigmented
No weird smell
Good for neutral looks

Bad points:
Not pigmented
Too shimmery
The sponge applicator is not so good when picking up the e/s.
Has fall out.

Final Verdict:
I am still happy to have this e/s from ELF. I can actually recommend this to those thrifty girls out there who are looking for affordable eyeshadows with good qualities (fyi, ELF is an imported makeup brand). Pasok pa rin sya sa banga! hehe. I love ELF honestly, I've been wanting to try more of their products soon. Specially the bronzing and blush on powder and some of their makeup brushes.

You can visit Watson's if you wanted to check ELF Cosmetics or if you
want to get more updates from ELF,
add their fb page here
and follow them on twitter here.

And that's it.
Thank you for reading!
Take care!
JENNY

  1. ELF's products are sold for a cheaper price in the US. unfair noh? Pero I agree, I really like their products! :) I was eyeing these eyeshadows too mainly because of their size. So easy to bring around!

  3. Hi sis, thank you for the comments! You are so sweet, anyway about the Elf, yeah mas mura nga don they are being sold for only $1, sana nga may relatives ako sa U.S tapos dun nalang ako papabili ng makeup no kasi mas mura dito saten halos 3x ang SRP. Yes, this e/s is easy to bring kaya lang it tends to have lots of fall out. Masyadong fragile yung e/s. (hehe tama ba yung term ko?) Pero nonetheless sa price na 129, swak pa rin!
