44 Piece Professional Makeup Palette

I sometimes offer makeup service for my friends and cousins. Last year I missed two clients because I declined to have their makeup done, why? Because of lack of makeup tools. So I decided to collect makeup palettes this year so whenever someone ask for my makeup service I am 100% ready and available.

I've been eyeing  these 3 online shops which sells makeup palettes, but since I am a "thrifty person" (hence the name of this blog) I compare the prices of their products and find out that the makeup palettes are all the same, except that the 2 online shops only change or personalized the palette to have their online shops name printed on the palette. And Glittergirl Shop offers the cheapest price so I did my first purchase of this 44 piece pro makeup palette to them.

Dirty little secret : I find out that this palette is Singapore authentic or what we all know a replica. The palette that I got from glittergirl shop has "MAC" label on it, but I know that it wasn't authentic. I wasn't actually inform that the product was MAC replica because I have seen the same palette from the 2 online shops which makes me think that it was just a non-brand makeup that they import and have their online shop name printed on the palettes. So yeah, the makeup palette that you will see below is a mac replica, it was actually just the same with makeup palette that was being sold by the other 2 online shops.

But nonetheless, I don't have regrets in buying this palette, because I really need this wide selection of colors i doing makeup look.

Here's how it looks like:

Upper Portion compose of lipsticks and concealers. It's detachable.

Lower portion of the palette compose of eyeshadows, blushes and contour/highlight.

The palette has 16 lipsticks - 6 cream concealers - 16 eyeshadows (matte and shimmery)  - 3 blushes - and 3 contouring/highlighting powders.

Youcan detache the first palette and put it at the back of the palette's lid.

Lipsticks 1-8

Lipsticks are not matte, some are very pigmented and some are just  so-so lippies. I love using the red shades and the peachy shades perfect for "young-looking" makeup. The lipstick usually stays on for about 2-3 hours.

Cream Concealers

Cream Concealers - I am glad that it contains a lot of concealers. It is very important to have a wide selection of colors since your client doesn't have the same skin tones. 

Eyeshadows 1-8

Eyeshadows 9-16

Eyeshadows - Some were shimmery and some are matte. Dark colors are very pigmented. It has fall out but eyeshadow primer will surely solve this dilemma!

Blushes and Contouring powders

Blush - I love the blushes from this palette, they are pigmented. I only wish they add coral-ish shade!

Contour/Highlight powder - It isn't that pigmented but I think it's good enough since contour and highlight should be really just minimal. It's blendable and buildable.

You might not like the artificial scent of the palette but for it's price I still love this palette! I will make a saparated post for the swatches of this palette, so stay tuned!

WET N WILD MEGALAST LIPSTICKS

I purchased these lipsticks last year and ngayon lang ako makakapagpost about it. Well, by the way I really wanted to try these lipsticks since a lot of bloggers have been raving about it, so instead of buying a MAC lipstick I opted for 5 pieces of wet n wild matte lipsticks. I bought different shades, since It is not reasonable for me to buy lipsticks with almost the same shade, I mean what's the purpose? So here are the 5 shades that I got from Makeupholics:

I hope my Zenfone5 captures the true colors of these lipsticks, I haven't took shots from my digital camera, but I will make sure to provide more pictures soon .

I didn't have the chance to swatch the Cinnamon Spice because it was my friend's lippy. So here's the swatch of the lipstick on my arm. I have yellow-ish + olive-ish skintone.

My friend says that the Cinnamon Spice is almost similar to cherrybomb except it has brown undertone while the latter has red.

Some girls hate the formulation. So here's my take. The lipstick has matte formula so it will help to stay the color on your lips. But if your lips are prone to drying and chapping, you really have to moisturize first or exfoliate prior applying this.

Pigmentation: It's amazing! You won't get the same pigmentation from local lipstick brands. They are true to the colors as what you can see in the tube. It's opaque and it offers different shades from pink - red - plum.

Scent :  It seems like not all the lipstick has the same scent, the wine room smells like saliva (ew!) same with my wet n wild lip liners, but the other has candy like scent. I don't know but here is my take, the wineroom is the most easiest shade to apply and the glidiest lipsick among the 5 shades. I think the "thing" that they put to make it creamy is the one that makes it smells like that. I don't know, comment below if you have the same observation.

Formulation : Just like what  I said earlier, it has matte finish, but some of the shades glides on better like the wineroom, cherrybomb and spotlight red, I mean they are more creamy and doesn't have streaks or whatsoever unlike the bright shades like the purty persimmon and don't blink pink. It will dry your lips after 2-3 hours but for wineroom it looks okay, but if you will apply lip balm over your lips, the chapping will somehow disappear or becomes minimal. Still, better than Ever Bilena's matte lipsticks.

Staying Power : Magaling! They last for 4 hours with minimal fading specially when you eat. It isn't transfer proof nor smudge proof but they last longer than other lipsticks brand we have here in the Philippines.

Packaging : Well "madaling masira". You can't complain daw kasi it's cheap lang talaga sa U.S.

So overall, the only thing that I hate about these lipsticks is that the dryness and the packaging. But I still use them everday. Specially the wineroom. It is best for work or the thing called "MLBB". I will post next time with additional pictures "me" wearing the lipstick. So stay tune.

Ever Bilena in Dazzling Orchid

I rarely buy lipstick. As rare as twice a year. lol. So since I've been needing to buy one, I decided to go for this affordable lipstick from Everbilena. This year, I've been liking lipsticks with darker shades. And after I saw this lipstick from MomGoneVain, I decided to buy it.

It's the Everbilena in Dazzling Orchid (they said it was the newest lipstick line from EB).I think it comes with 8-10 shades. It has semi matte and gloosy finish. The lipsticks with white center has semi-matte finish while the transparent ones has glossy finish.

This retails for 95.00 pesos.

Sorry, I've been using the product for so many times before taking pictures.

 The transparent thing in the center of the lipstick is the reason why it has a shiny effect. It also the reason why it is a bit hard to make the application even.

I've been having hard time looking for an affordable lipstick with plum'ish or magenta-ish shade, and this by far is the best affordable lipstick from EB.

This lipstick line has 2 finishes, the matte and the glossy. This one is glossy which will prevent you lips from drying and cracking. Approximately it stays on for 4-6 hours (without eating). Sometimes, I want it to look matte so i blot it with a tissue or apply baby powder. This is one of my favorite lipstick as of the moment. I am definitely an Everbilena girl. lol

Ever Bilena Matte Lipstick in Dusk

Since I can't constantly post an update here on my blog, might as well post once a week instead of abandoning this forever. LOL Much better also if I'll make my post straight to the point so you guys won't get bored when you visit this blog.

So today, I am going to share with you my current favorite lipstick from Ever Bilena Matte Lipstick line. Maybe some of you already tried them, but for the benefit of those who haven't tried it and for those who are looking for a dark lipstick that will suit our Filipina skin tone, this shade is so perfect!

It's the shade DUSK. 

A lot of my friends were asking me if what lippy I was wearing on this picture, and it's the Covergirl Smoky + Exel Matte lip cream which  requires more time of application. But with this lipstick, less hassle.

This is my current favorite lipstick shade. This makes my teeth appear whiter (I have extremely yellowish teeth :'| ) . This may dry your lips so apply lipbalm underneath this or if you want to remain its matte formula, you can apply lipbalm then wipe it off with a soft cloth or exfoliate your lips prior to applying this lipstick.

This retails for P165.00.

I got the chance to try this lipsticks from PrettyThrifty Shop.

These came straight from the U.S. This cost around $6, and they sell it for only P299.00.

This shade is called "Bewitch" (210)

This one is called "Smoky" (245)

This is how the packaging looks like. The color shade is located at the bottom of the lipstick.

Swatch:

Bewitch is more on coralish-brownish shade. It belongs to "nude" category since the shade is not bright.

Here is the macro shot. As you can see in the picture, the lipstick has creamy texture because this one is really moisturizing and glides smoothly on lips!

On Lips:

One layer is enough to cover my pigmented lips. Though it's a moisturizing lipstick, it has semi matte finish. I don't really like those lipsticks which are too shiny on lips. So this one is really great!

Here's Smoky swatch:

Smoky has a satin finish. It also has micro shimmers on it but it isn't that obvious on lips. I love using this as a base and top it with a red lipstick or lip cream to have that fall look.

Ony my lips:

Smoky is a bit darker in personal. It also glides easily on lips and moisturizing. I use this together with excel lip creams and they work together perfectly! 

I also love the scent of the lipstick. This is my first time to have a covergirl lipstick and I'm glad that it didn't disappoint me.

Lime Crime Great Pink Planet

While thinking of something to blog about, I remember that the last time I reviewed this lipstick from Lime Crime which I got free from Ms.Martha of TBJ, I did not post pictures of its swatches. So I decided to re-post it, now with pictures wearing it my lips.

This is my most expensive lipstick so far (though I got it for free). I mean, if you will see my lipstick collection, I only have lipsticks which price range are about 75 pesos to 300.00. So I am happy that I received this gift last year. Isn't it gorgeous?

I love the packaging of Lime Crime Lipsticks. They are in this cute milky pink sturdy tube with sparkly unicorn on it. So lovely.

Take note, this lipstick will turn 1 year old this December, but look! The tube still looks new!

The shade is in "Great Pink Planet".

Lime Crime is well known for its super opaque lipsticks.

I am not really a big fan of the shade. It suits those who have fair skin or Caucasians. But if you love Nicki Minaj, you will surely love this shade :)

Here's the swatch on my wrist. I really don't know why the blogger seems to sharpen the pictures. It looks like texturized tuloy :(

It is said to be that Pink Planet is a more toned version of the shade Countessa Fluorescent. It is a milky pink with a smidgen of lilac.

On lips:

LOL, this is actually me. Sorry for the mustache!

The lipstick is very opaque and pigmented.
A little goes a long way. But I have a hard time applying this on my lips because it streaks a bit. It's creamy but you have to moisturized and exfoliate before using this lipstick. The lipstick has vanilla scent which is super yummy. But it doesn't taste delicious though, and it feels a little bit waxy.

I think this cost around P700+. You can try the other colors such as Centrifuchsia, Cosmopop, Countessa Fluorescent and Retrofuturist.
