Review: Elf Bronzing Powder (Warm Tan)

 Hi guys,  as promised there will be few changes on my blog. And for this week posts is all about makeup. So I will be posting reviews about affordable products like Elf bronzing powder, Ever Bilena Advance Brow Pencil, and the rest of my Excel Lip Creams in shade 510, 505 and 504.

The Problem : I have rounded face. I don't have the well shaped and contoured cheekbones, and most specially, I don't have narrow and beautiful nose (be proud, pinoy e')lol. So I always ended up on having big and flat face on pictures specially when it was taken in a front shot. So, there is a so called contouring and bronzing powder which is said to be made to help girls like me in enhancing and contouring my face. Will this affordable bronzing powder can solve my problem? Let's find out.

The Solution? : So I decided to try the Elf Bronzing Powder that I purchased on this Haul. I've been wanting to try the contouring powder + blush on, but since I don't need blush on, I opted for the bronzing powder. Here's how it looks like:

Cost : P129.75

Me, I really enjoyed it, I spent it very wisely :)

Anyway's just like what I mentioned on my previous haul, I'm going to post the stuff that I bought from Ms.Lissa Kahayon last time I went to Etc Fashion Flea Market.

 The items aren't actually from Forever 21, it was just the plastic. lols

A dress and bangles.

 It was love at first sight when I saw this dress. But I thought it was a blouse so I decided to buy this for my mom. I really like it's color and the cloth's texture.

 The dress is only P180.00 (preloved)

Six pieces bangle.

And this cute bangles is only P20.00

I saw a lot of accessories, makeup and clothes at Ms.Lissa's stall, too bad I am really on a tight budget that time :( So these are the only thing that I bought.

Well mom loves it, and actually I wanted to wear the dress too!

Review: Elf Brightening Quadshadow in Butternut.

Cost: P129.00

Where: Watson's

Sorry it took so long before I was able to make a review about this. I already hit the pan of the 1 eyeshadow here, it means that it was my favorite among the others.

Since there is no label or names for the eyeshadow I just put number on them.

As you can notice, all of the e/s are shimmery.

Let's start with the swatches:

(Note, I did not use any primer underneath the swatches of the e/s for you to see how pigmented / shimmery it is).

 Here's the lightest e/s.

(I) You can usually use this as:

-Base

or as highlighter on the ff areas:

- browbone

- tearduct

- bridge of nose

Here's how it looks like when swatch on my arm.

Next,

My favorite eyeshadow. I used this on my eyelid and sometimes on my tearduct too.

When swatch, it almost looks the same with number 1.

The third is the darkest one.

You can use this for your outer V, or to your upper lashline for a simple yet sophisticated look. Best worn for the smokey looks.

This will also compliment when doing the smokey eyes.

So that's it. Just sharing with you some of the looks that I've made with my elf e/s:

Good points:

Affordable

Easy to use

With small mirror

The darkest e/s is pigmented

No weird smell

Good for neutral looks

Bad points:

Not pigmented

Too shimmery

The sponge applicator is not so good when picking up the e/s.

Has fall out.

Final Verdict:

I am still happy to have this e/s from ELF. I can actually recommend this to those thrifty girls out there who are looking for affordable eyeshadows with good qualities (fyi, ELF is an imported makeup brand). Pasok pa rin sya sa banga! hehe. I love ELF honestly, I've been wanting to try more of their products soon. Specially the bronzing and blush on powder and some of their makeup brushes.

Haul + SM Department Store SALE

Hello gals! Can't believe that I did purchase some goodies again this weekend. Napaparami yata ang gastos ko? hehe Anyways, I am really out of Mascara and I am looking for a quad eyeshadow that I am going to use for our Special Assembly last March 10 at QC. So, i made up my mind (in the tune of Chasin' pavements of Adele ^^) on buying the Maybelline Hypercurl Mascara, and since SM Taytay has only few stalls of make-ups, I did go for ELF brightening eyeshadow, and give it a chance if I will be satisfied on it. And since I've been torn between a shoulder bag or a flat shoes, I decided to buy the one which will caught my attention or something that is on SALE. And this is what I've saw. SM Dept. store is on it's Summer SALE from March 1- 31, 2012 (on selected items only). I fell inlove with a lots of bags there, from parisian, secosana and others. But I only have P750.00 to splurge. haha! So I look around and this is what I've got!

the two S.A was kinda making 'asaran' to each other, I heard that one of the S.A wants to buy this bag, sorry girl naunahan kita :P

i love the design of this bag

Isn't a steal?? I love this because it is quiet large and I love its color. I was about to get the satchel one but the strap looks so weak and parang masisira kaagad sya. 

I told you, pag nakakita agad ako ng Orange or Red tag, hinihila nila ako papunta sa kanila. "Kuripot Queen" eh. LOL
