Review : Maybelline Moisture Extreme in Sangria Red (910)

Here's another lip product review. This is my first time to try the Maybelline Moisture Extreme Lipstick. I did not know that it was already discontinued. And I didn't even notice the manufacturing date. But don't worry, though it was dated 2008, and we are now 2012, I've been using this for almost 10 times, and still, I am breathing. And I think the product is not yet expired. Maybe you are all wondering how I got this, my neighbor sell this to me for only P80.00. I really wonder why did Maybelline discontinued this product. They're just wrong! Wanna know why, hear my thoughts by reading more below.

Maybelline Moisture Extreme (910) in Sangria Red

The packaging is really nice. It comes with the shiny red and silver tube.

This is how the product looks like.

Now the swatches:

Again and again, I am not sure about its undertone. But it seems like it has plum undertone. Uggh, just correct me guys on the comment box if you have any idea if how it looks like on you.

As you can see, the consistency is creamy. It may look shiny but it isn't actually in personal. It is 50 % satin and 50% matte. And there is something special with its formula that I never experience from all of the lipstick that I ever tried (kala mo naman ang dami ng natry e no?).

Comparison:

Left - Right:
EB Scarlet,  Nyx Rose,  Sophie Martin Red Pepper, Maybelline Sangria Red

The lipstick itself feels smooth on lips. And I am very much impressed with its pigmentation and consistency. It gives you a nice shine on lips but not too much. The texture of the lipstick is thin but the pigmentation is so great! It's neither sticky nor heavy when applied in 2 or more layers and it really moisturized your lips so you don't have to apply lipbalm underneath!

This has 4.1./5 rate on ebay. And upon reading the reviews, majority is that they really love the lipstick. You can click the link to know more if how good the lipstick is. And I am too, I just love this! I just wish that my neighbor have different shades but this is the only shade that she was selling.

The Pro's and Con's:
Sorry guys, but I don't have a nice picture wearing the lipstick. I only cropped a picture of mine:

And of course FOTD wearing it:
Say hi to my mom! Nyahaha and to my white cast pes!

And that's it!
What do you think guys, they shouldn't discontinued this right?
Does the shade looks good on me?

Next post will be an OOTD, finally!

My Brace Journey : My 30th Day

This afternoon my braces were finally activated, but before I talk about it, let me share with you my first month of having orthodontic braces.

Yesterday was my 30th day of wearing braces. Actually it feels ordinary. Thou I can feel more the brackets on my lower teeth I find it comfortable . But during my first 3 days, after the braces had been installed, I got some sores on my lower cheek because of hook on the bracket . So that's the main discomfort. And also, I use to feel the aches on my teeth, like when I push it with my tongue, it kinda hurt a bit. But still it's tolerable. I did not take any pain killers or wax to address the discomfort. I can still stand the pain. "Wa epek pa!", let's see how will I react on my first adjustment. Katakots!

The real thing that bothers me is that it's hard to eat all the food that you used to eat before. You must be very careful when chewing and of course you should not eat those crackers which are very thick, baka matanggal bracket mo.

And of course, you cannot do the usual thing you do before, na you can brush your teeth after 15 minutes or more, because you're not having "Tinga" on your teeth. But with braces, you just can't! Brushing your teeth after meal is a MUST! I always make "takip" on my mouth when I speak to my co-workers when we eat lunch "kahiya naman ang tinga ko". I even do the "gargling of water" after I eat so lesser "tinga".

If you will look closely on my teeth, the wires aren't straight yet.

One week after, a tragic came upon, one bracket has been dis-attached on my tooth not because I ate something hard,  you know why? Bumabangga yung upper teeth ko sa may 1st molar teeth ko sa baba. So ayun, when I was sleeping ,siguro nag grind ako and bigla nalang ako nagising because of the loud sound that came from my mouth.Yun pala natanggal na bracket ko. Pero nakaattached pa rin naman sya sa wire, so I immediately went to my dentist and fortunately, wala pa naman bayad yung bracket na natanggal since di pa daw activated yung braces ko.hgju jn

There's also good thing on having braces. I become more careful with my teeth. I always make sure to brush my teeth 3 times a day, gargle twice and floss it at night.I also notice that my gums become healthier specially on my central area. And most specially I can do the "Big Smile" na everyday without getting conscious of my hooked tooth kasi natatakpan na ng braces.

Aha, todo smile ang lola nyo!

I went for "Turquoise" pala for my rubbers. But now I decided to go for darker colors since they said that darker colors will make your teeth appear whiter. So I'll share with you what's the new colors of my rubbers on my next update. All I can say now is, nasa "tiis-ganda" moment na ako after my activation. Kailangan ko na yata ng pain killer!

And that's it.
Stay tune for the next episode!

Review : Human Nature Lip Balm in Wild Berry

Hi guys. So for tonight post is about the Human Nature Lip Balm which I've got from winning the  Beauty Blogger Bonanza Giveaway.

Honestly saying I am not a big fan of lip balms, it feels like they only lessen the opacity of the lipstick once you wear them underneath. But since the time that I have my braces, my lips become dry that's why I started to bring lip balm everyday. So, does human nature lip balm do the work? Keep on reading to know more.

Cost : Free (79.00)
Flavor : Wild berry
Content : 4grams

Human Nature Lip Balm comes with the usual plastic packaging. And I personally like the print because it's pink, so girly!

I got the Wild Berry. Human Nature Lipbalm is available in 4 yummy flavors:
Tutti-Frutti, Peppermint, Choco Fudge, and Wild Berry

The product information is also labeled on the tube.

To those who have sensitive skin, you will surely love Human Nature product since they are 100 % natural!
This is actually my first time to have a product from HN.

The product.

It is retractable so it's easier and you have control on the product

The lipbalm is long enough so it will surely last more or less 6 months!

Here is the swatch:
This isn't the tinted one so it will not change the color of your lips.

Before and After photos:
Say hi to my pigmented lips!
The above photo is without lipbalm.

With lipbalm.
As you can see, it adds shine on my lips.

Sophie Martin Ice pepper with Human Nature Lipbalm underneath.

Recommendation:
Yes, I do recommend it specially to those who is into organic makeup. But wil;l I repurchase, I don't think so. I think I'll stick to my Nivea Lip balm.
